Some consider Christ’s statement in Luke 1:18 to be a reference to Satan’s fall. While it is a reference to Satan’s fall, it may be a figurative reference to Satan’s defeat at by Christ. Two Old Testament passages (Ezekiel 18:11-19; Isaiah 14:12:17) are urged by some as a reference to Satan’s Fall. For a discussion of these verses from Ezekiel, see Lessons on Ezekiel, Lesson 15, on this web site.
